The Vampire Talk with Mark Dawidziak
Vampire bookTuesday, October 21, at 6:00 pm.

Mark Dawidziak, Plain Dealer columnist and author of such vampire-centric books as "The Night Stalker Companion" and "The Bedside, Bathtub & Armchair companion to Dracula," will conduct a presentation on vampires at the Burton Library on Oct. 21.

Dawidziak will discuss Count Dracula, the current vampire boom and the enduring appeal of the undead. The program includes items from the author's personal collection, or, as Dawidziak calls them, "items from the crypt." He also is the editor of the recently published Richard Matheson's Censored and produced "I Am Legend" Screenplay.

"I Am Legend" was voted the most influential and important vampire novel since "Dracula" in 2012 by the Horror Writers Association. Copies of this book and "The Bedside, Bathtub & Armchair Companion to Dracula" will be available for sale after the talk.
