An Evening with Thrity Umrigar

Thrity Umrigar was born in Bombay and lived there until she was 21 and moved to the U.S. She is the author of six novels— The Story Hour, The World We FoundThe Weight of HeavenThe Space Between UsIf Today Be Sweet, and Bombay Time—and the memoir First Darling of the Morning. An award-winning journalist, Thrity Umrigar has been a contributor to the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, and the Huffington Post among other publications. She is the winner of the Nieman Fellowship to Harvard, the 2009 Cleveland Arts Prize, and the Seth Rosenberg Prize. A professor of English at Case Western Reserve University, she lives in Cleveland, Ohio.

Books will be available for purchase ($15 - 17) and signing on the night of the event. 

The Library will close at 6:00 pm that evening so please park and enter through the back door and take the stairs up to the second floor or use the elevator.

Free, but please bring one canned good per person for the Geauga County Hunger Task Force food bank. Refreshments will be served.
